Rules of Jass

Start of each game

Each player is dealt 8 cards in his hands, with each round the next player is the dealer. The suit of the trump (Hearts, Diamonds, Spades or Clubs) is determined by drawing a card from a separate pile of cards (the turning cards) or with a special die. The player after the dealer must decide whether to take the game. He can also pass, then the next player can decide whether to take. If no one accepts, another suit is made trump.

Play

Each game consists of 8 tricks and each player plays one card per trick. The one who takes the game starts by tossing a card, with the next tricks the winner of the previous round starts. The next player must then play a card of the same suit. The same goes for subsequent players. Whoever has flipped the highest card wins the trick and is dealt the cards. If a player does not have the requested suit, that player must play a trump card. But if a player in front of you has already flipped a trump card, you should play a higher trump if you can. The trick ultimately goes to the player with the highest trump. If you have neither a card of the correct suit nor a trump card, you may throw any card.

End of the game

After eight tricks, the team having the round must have scored more than half of the points. If this doesn't work (going wet), the opponent gets all the points.
