Here is an overview of the ranks and their numbers in each army.

Start of the game
Each player places his army on the last 4 rows of the board. And so that the opponent cannot see what is where.
Game flow
The players alternately place a pawn, taking into account that it is not possible to walk on the surfaces with water. Pawns may take 1 step per move and only horizontally and vertically. Only scouts are allowed to take multiple steps at once, but only over empty terrain and not over water. A bomb and a flag cannot walk.
Hit
A pawn can capture another pawn. If the rank of the captured pawn is lower than the capturing pawn, the captured pawn is removed from the game. If the opponent's rank is higher, the capturing pawn is removed from the game. If both have the same rank, they both go out of the game. There are a few special cases: - Only a miner can beat a bomb, all other pawns lose if they hit a bomb - The spy is the lowest in rank, but only the spy can defeat the marshal. By the way, only if the spy strikes. If the marshal hits the spy, the marshal still wins. A player 'gets' the captured pieces from the opponent. It is wise to keep a close eye on it. Because then you can see which pieces your opponent still has in the field.
End of the game
Whoever hits the opponent's flag wins. If your opponent can no longer move (because he only has bombs and a flag) then you have also won. {DefaultRuleText}
