Scrabble set

Start of the game

Each player takes 7 cubes from the pot. The player who can make the longest word gets to start. The first word must be in the middle square. The players then alternately place words that must connect somewhere with the words already on the board. For each turn, the players complete the letters on their board to 7 as long as there are enough letters in the pot.

Points

The points per word placed are written down. If one letter of the word is placed on a 'special' square, then the value of the letter, or the whole word, is doubled or tripled. If you manage to place several words at once, the letters in the overlapping letters count for each word.

Additional Rules

- Words are formed horizontally or vertically like a crossword puzzle, not diagonally.
- The first word of a game is placed with one of the cubes on the pink star in the middle. The word value is doubled.
- Colored squares lose their effect after the turn in which a letter landed on them.
- Whoever manages to place all seven letters in one turn gets an extra 50 points.
- A player may also use his/her turn to trade one or more of his/her letters. Only the next turn may a word be placed again.
- Letters that are next to each other must always form part of a word.
- For example, you can check what a valid word is at Scrabblemania.

End of the game

When there are no more letters or the players can no longer make words with the letters on their board, the game is over. The player with the most points minus the points left on his board wins.
